KANARRAVILLE, Utah (AP) — Authorities say a Cedar City man is dead after a rollover accident on Interstate 15 near Kanarraville.
Utah Highway Patrol officials say 29-year-old Daniel Jones was driving on Interstate 15 about 6 a.m. Saturday when his vehicle ran off the road toward the median for an unknown reason.
They say the vehicle rolled three times after Jones apparently overcorrected in an attempt to return to the roadway.
Authorities say Jones was alone in the vehicle, wasn't wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the vehicle.
Highway Patrol officials say Jones was breathing when medical personnel arrived at the scene.
He was airlifted to a hospital and pronounced dead.
Authorities say looking at the possibility of impairment as a contributing factor in the fatal crash.
