NEW YORK (AP) — Storied Lady beat Saythreehailmary's by a head Sunday at Aqueduct in the $100,000 Biggio Rose Stakes for New York-bred fillies and mares.
The 5-year-old trained by John Hertler snapped an eight-race losing streak. She secured the victory with a strong inside move under Irad Ortiz Jr.
The time was 1:45.64 for the 1 1/16 miles.
Storied Lady paid $10.20, $4.30 and $3.10.
Saythreehailmary's returned $3 and $2.20 as the 9-5 favorite.
Perfect Freud paid $3.80 to show.
