SALT LAKE CITY – Photographer Annie Leibovitz’s series of celebrities portraying Disney characters continues, this time with the feisty redhead Merida.
Last month, Disney Parks released another installment of Leibovitz’s “Disney Dream Portraits,” this time partnering with Jessica Chastain as the Scottish lass Merida.
Chastain described Merida as “a modern princess… with her own point of view.”
In the behind-the-scenes images, though, you get a closer look at how Leibovitz works with her princesses and characters.
The advertising campaign began in 2007 with an image of Beyonce Knowles, Oliver Platt and Lyle Lovett as “Alice in Wonderland” characters. Since then, celebrities like Scarlett Johansson, Jack Black, Jennifer Lopez, Michael Phelps, and Taylor Swift have posed as various Disney cartoon characters.
