MURRAY — An Endangered Missing Advisory has been issued for a 15-month-old child family members said was taken Monday evening by the boy's mother, who does not have custody of him.
Lady Ashley Marks, 19, was visiting her son, Giovanni, at a home in Murray, Murray Police Lt. Kenny Bass said. The boy's paternal grandmother was with them, but left the room for a short time.
"(The grandmother) came back into the room in which they were at, and both the mother and child (were) gone," Bass said.
"There is a court order indicating she is not allowed to have the child. That is why we are worried about the child missing," he added.
Family members believe the woman is heading to Spokane, Wash., Bass said. Detectives are working to get a description of Marks' vehicle, he said.
If you have any information on the whereabouts of Marks or her son, Giovanni, contact Murray police at 801-840-4000.
