Outlook

Low pressure will finally move eastward from California today. This will increase clouds this afternoon with some sprinkles this evening along the southern Wasatch Front, but higher rain chances in central and southern Utah. There's a chance that some t-storms that pop up in south central and southeastern Utah could produce microburst winds this afternoon/evening. The core of low pressure swings through northern Utah/SW Wyoming tonight and early tomorrow morning, this will put down some decent rain totals along the Wasatch Front .25-.50" with areas north of SLC looking at a chance to hit 1.00" especially up towards Cache Valley. Snow levels will drop to about 9k feet Saturday morning and midday bringing a few inches of snow to the northern mountains, especially the Uintas.- Matt Johnson, KSL Weather 5.29.26
