Outlook
A series of storms will impact Utah tonight through Wednesday. Now through Wednesday, we'll have elevated winds across the state with the highest wind gusts across our mountain ridges and in western Utah. Valley rain and mountain snow will move in this evening in southwestern Utah and will spread northern and eastward later tonight. Most of the precip from this first wave will exit east of Utah by Tuesday morning, but we'll see mountain snow showers across northern Utah continue through the day. Light rain and snow will be possible across the Wasatch Front, but overall expecting a lull. The second storm will come in Tuesday evening and will continue through the day Wednesday. Valley and mountain snow will come with this second storm. Mountain snow forecast totals from tonight through Wednesday night: northern mountains 12"-24", Cottonwoods 18"-36", Uinta and central mountains 10"-20", and southern mountains 15"-30". Valley/lower mountain valley forecast totals with majority falling on Wednesday: northern valleys: 1"-3" with locally higher from Ogden to Cache Valley, benches 3"-6", Wasatch back 5"-10", central valleys 3"-6" with 4"-8"" possible in Cedar City, and southern valleys (excluding lower Washington County and Lake Powell area) 1"-3". There's still a possible for another wave sometime Thursday or Friday, but there's still considerable uncertainty on this. - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 2.16.26
