Outlook
A thorough tap of monsoon moisture will continue to stream into the state the next several days. This will provide ample chances for mountain thunderstorms each and every afternoon, with valley thunderstorm chances being present but more hit n' miss style. Flash flood potential will be elevated in central and southern Utah as we see t-storms pop-up in the same areas, near recent burn scars, and over slot canyons and normally dry washes. For the Wasatch Front, we're seeing the best chances for storms to roll in on Friday and early next week. However, there remains a chance everyday, it's just lower compared to the aforementioned. Nonetheless, if you're recreating outside at all over the next 7 days, you need to have a way to be notified by severe weather alerts and keep an eye on radar! - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 7.14.26
