Outlook
Clearing skies and light winds will give way to fog developing in prone spots like Cache Valley. This will be freezing fog and can produce slick conditions. Our next storm is quickly on its way, arriving Thursday night and lasting through at least Friday noon. Initial precipitation type will be snow, then we'll see a changeover to rain Friday mid morning/afternoon as snow levels rise. Valley snow from Salt Lake south will be less than an inch. Valleys north of SLC could be up to 2". There will be a lull Friday during the day before the next piece arrives in the evening. This will likely remain valley rain and mountain snow through the rest of the storm which could last until Sunday morning. Valley precipitation though will likely end before precip in the mountains, so more so Saturday evening. The second piece of this storm looks potent, bringing very beneficial snow to our northern mountains - up to 2 feet! Valley rain will range between a half inch to an inch. These totals will get finetuned as the week progresses as well as the timing of this storm. Continue to check in as the week progresses!? - Devan Masciulli, KSL Weather 12.3.25
