ST. GEORGE, Utah (AP) -- Authorities have identified the man killed in a single engine plane crash in southern Utah.
Washington County Sheriff's Chief Deputy Rob Tersigni said Wednesday the pilot was identified as Gary Logan, 54, of Las Vegas.
Tersigni says the National Transportation Safety Board has been to the crash site, which is in a mountainous area about 20 miles west of St. George.
The Federal Aviation Administration said the Piper Malibu departed from the North Las Vegas Airport at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday and that it was en route to Cedar City when it disappeared off radar.
