SARATOGA SPRINGS — A 4-year-old is recovering in the hospital after nearly drowning at a neighborhood pool in Saratoga Springs on Wednesday.

About 5:45 p.m, crews were dispatched to the Legacy Farms private pool near 379 E. Willowstone Lane, Fire Chief Kenny Johnson said. A bystander performed CPR on the 4-year-old boy until first responders arrived.

The boy was taken to a hospital in serious condition but was said to be doing better upon his arrival, according to Johnson.
