SALT LAKE CITY — Eastbound lanes along I-80 reopened Wednesday evening after a truck caught fire in Parleys Canyon.

Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cameron Roden said a semitruck was fully engulfed in flames. The driver made it out of the truck, Roden said.

Fire crews closed all lanes on eastbound I-80 for a time until the blaze was out.

The Utah Department of Transportation said the lanes reopened by 5 p.m.
