ST. GEORGE — A new mac and cheese joint is turning up the heat in St. George with gooey bowls of pasta and grilled sandwiches made to order.

"We are comfort food, U.S.A., absolutely," Roni's Mac Bar co-owner Randy Kidman said.

The trio behind Roni's Mac Bar, who call themselves "The Three Mac Daddies," includes Kidman, Benji Nelson and Jason Hendrix, all locals who have spent the last decade coaching soccer together at Desert Hills High School. Outside the kitchen, they each run their own businesses.

Kidman owns an insurance agency, Hendrix is a physician and founder of St. George Eye Center and Nelson, along with his family of 16, runs a popular YouTube channel and operates several mall spots, including Hot Dog on a Stick, Sixteen Soda and Sweets and Sixteen by JustKass and NEN, as first reported by St. George News.
