For over a century, motorcycle riders have answered the call of the open road. A method of transportation that challenges individuals to embrace a sense of freedom, bikers are known for exploring destinations and embarking on new experiences. This week, during a Utah company's riding event, they may be rewarded with significant prizes for doing so.
Giving away items like a dirt bike, Young Powersports will host their Motorcycle Poker Run Rally across northern Utah on Aug. 10 from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m.
"Events like these are always looked forward to by our team," said Jeramie Young, director of Young Powersports. "It's something that engages an outstanding community of riders, and we're excited to take each of them to our incredible locations."
Beginning the ride at Young Powersports XL Centerville, participants will grab a poker card and a snack before heading to their next destination - the Young Automotive Group's headquarters. Stops will then be made at the following spots:
- Young Powersports Pleasant View.
- Young Powersports Euro in Ogden.
- Young Powersports Morgan.
- The Mountain Creek Lodge.
At each facility, riders will grab a new card, attempting to make the best hand possible. During the stop at Young Powersports Euro, a local food truck will serve free donuts while patrons watch a stunt show. Those willing to go a few extra miles can also travel to Young Powersports Logan, where they'll be rewarded with an additional card and prizes.

Ending the event at the Mountain Creek Lodge in Morgan, participants will be served a warm meal while their poker hands are recorded for scoring. Prizes available include a movie night at the Young Automotive Group's Everest Conference Room (which features a 40-ft LED screen), a stay at the new Mountain Creek Lodge cabins and a Kayo dirt bike.
"What inspired us to put an event of this scale together was actually the success of poker runs that took place at dealerships like our Young Powersports Pleasant View location," Young said. "Utah has so many amazing spots to ride, and most of them are close to where we're located. We're confident that those riding with us will find some of their new favorite destinations during this event."
A route that includes four locations that were built within the last two and a half years, the poker run takes place just ten days after Young Powersports Euro's grand opening. Apart from being able to explore the new dealership for Ducati, BMW Motorrad and Triumph, participants will be some of the first to enter the newly established Mountain Creek Lodge — a retreat nestled in the heart of the Wasatch Mountains.
Young Powersports currently operates eleven franchises across the United States, with one located in Burley, Idaho and two recently opened establishments in Missoula, Montana. The organization has been consistently recognized for their rapid growth and excellence in the industry, with features on Powersports Business magazine's Best In Class list.
"What we've been able to build throughout the last ten years has surpassed even what we thought was possible," Young said. "Our team is tied together by a goal to set industry standards. We're grateful for everything we've experienced to reach this point, and confident that our best days are ahead of us."
The motorcycle poker run is free and open to the public. Visit the link to RSVP.
