WILLARD, Box Elder County — The body of a 41-year-old Davis County man who went missing at Willard Bay State Park Saturday has been recovered, officials confirmed Sunday.

Rescue crews began searching for the man just before 5 p.m. Saturday after reports that he had fallen into the reservoir near Pelican Beach. A second person who had been on the raft was rescued and transported to a hospital in stable condition with undisclosed injuries, officials said.

Search and rescue crews located and recovered the man's body late Saturday near Pelican Beach at the Willard Bay State Park Reservoir, according to a statement from the Utah Department of Natural Resources.

His name has not yet been released.

"This is a tragic and unfortunate circumstance," the DNR said in a press release. "The Utah Department of Natural Resources Law Enforcement Division extends condolences to family and friends."

Multiple agencies assisted in the response, including the Box Elder County Sheriff's Office, Willard Police Department, and the Weber County Sheriff's Office.
