SOUTH JORDAN — An 18-year-old motorcyclist has died after colliding with another vehicle in South Jordan on Wednesday evening.
Two to three motorcycles were traveling east along 11400 South when a vehicle made a southbound left turn on Temple Drive. The vehicle then collided with one of the motorcyclists, who was taken to Intermountain Medical Center and died.
The name of the person killed has not yet been released.
Another motorcyclist laid down to avoid the collision, according to South Jordan police officer Shaun Becker.

The South Valley Crash Team responded to the call that came in at 7:27 p.m. The team includes South Jordan Police Department, Riverton Police Department and Herriman Police Department.
The other motorcyclist was "stable," South Jordan police said. A KSL employee was driving the vehicle and was not injured.
At this time, Becker says police are unsure who is at fault. He also reports that police believe speed may have been a factor, although they could confirm rate of travel for anyone at this point.
