SANDY — Two houses in Sandy were damaged after a shed with propane tanks inside caught fire Saturday afternoon, according to Sandy Fire Chief Ryan McConaghie.

Firefighters responded to a two-alarm fire at 2457 Granite Hills Circle, where a shed between two houses had ignited. Flames then traveled up the sides of the homes it stood between, McConaghie said.

The attic of the house the shed was closest to had the most damage, mostly from smoke, to the attic, and it blew out one window in the adjacent house, he added.

Despite the fires, no firefighters, residents, or pets were injured, though damages are estimated "in the ballpark" of $150,000, McConaghie said.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
