ST. GEORGE — FBI agents have arrested a man who allegedly fled to Canada nearly a decade ago, after multiple first-degree felony sexual abuse and child rape charges were filed against him in Washington County in 2015.

Shortly before midnight on March 26, 44-year-old Justin David Lanoue, a Canadian national, was booked into jail in Washington County by FBI agents.

Lanoue was arrested on a federal complaint filed in connection with a 2015 case following an investigation by the St. George Police Department.

The investigation began in June of 2014, when St. George Police received a report alleging the sexual abuse of a teenager over a two-year period starting in 2012.
