MILLCREEK — A Utah man was arrested early Monday after police say he stabbed another man and then threatened to attack him again while at a local hospital.
Stany Mputu, 36, was booked into the Salt Lake County Jail for investigation of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury and failing to give police his identity.
Police say Mputu and a 37-year-old man got into a fight at a Millcreek apartment. Mputu "stabbed the victim (in) the left shoulder, left arm and left side of (his) head," according to a police booking affidavit.
While the victim was waiting to be treated at a local hospital and was being questioned by police, Mputu showed up at the same hospital seeking treatment for a cut to his hand.
"He was positively identified by the victim and a witness in the waiting room of (the) hospital. In the waiting room, (Mputu) said to the victim, 'I'm not done with you,'" the affidavit states.
An officer who heard what Mputu allegedly said took him into custody. Mputu, however, refused to give the officer his name and even had a fake name on his hospital wristband, according to the affidavit.
Neither man's injuries were considered to be life-threatening, police said.
