SALT LAKE CITY — Customers using T-Mobile for service, or other mobile virtual network operators like Mint Mobile that rely on the larger company's towers, reported outages across the state on Tuesday.
The outages were reported to have started a little past 11:30 a.m., according to downdetector.com, with a peak of 19,415 problem reports an hour later. Many went to social media to express frustration, flooding the company's help account on X.
About 2:40 p.m., a spokesperson for the company issued a statement saying "a facility in the Salt Lake area had a brief mechanical issue that impacted connectivity for some customers in that market, but this is now resolved, and service is restored. We apologize for the inconvenience."
