(KSL News) Prosecutors say they've offered a plea deal to two men accused of obtaining stolen medical records.
Thomas Anderson and Shadd Hartman each are charged with one count of felony theft by receiving stolen property and a count of unlawful possession of another's identification documents.
The Salt Lake Tribune reports prosecutors have offered Hartman a third-degree felony along with a recommendation of no prison time. He also would have the possibility of later reducing the conviction to a misdemeanor.
The records containing personal information for 1.5 million University Hospital patients were stolen from a courier's personal car in June.
