(KSL News) Two couples from St. George, serving missions for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Kirtland, Ohio, have been involved in a tragic car accident.
One woman, Sister Karen Ann Deschamps, was killed when the car she was in was broadsided. Her husband, Elder Randall Deschamps, was critically injured and taken to an area hospital. They were serving as Kirtland Historic Sites missionaries.
The Church issued a statement today saying, "Our thoughts and prayers are with them, their family and friends at this difficult time."
The other couple was not injured.
