(KSL News) -- A Massachusetts man is in police custody accused of beating his son and wife to death because of her devotion to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Police say 30-year-old Jeremias Bins was "jealous" of the amount of time she was spending at church.
They say Bins, a carpenter, beat his wife and their 11-year-old son to death in their apartment with a hammer.
Bins took off with the couple's five month old baby, but he did not hurt that child.
Bins has turned himself into police.
