SALT LAKE CITY — This month, it’s your chance to give back to our home planet by celebrating Earth Day and Arbor Day.
Earth Day is on Sunday, and 200 million people across the world will take part, according to Earth Day Network. Started in 1970, the holiday raises awareness for environmental causes and has contributed to the passing of legislation about environmental issues.
Arbor Day, to be held on Friday, April 27 this year, was founded in 1972, according to the Arbor Day Foundation. The group’s mission is to inspire people to plant, nurture and celebrate trees.
