SANDY — A 15-year-old boy was critically injured after falling from the top level of a parking structure Saturday evening, officials confirm.

The teen, who was with family at Jordan Commons, fell 20-25 feet from a walkway that connects the south parking structure to businesses about 6:25 p.m., according to Sandy Police Sgt. Jason Nielsen.

He was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray in critical condition.

Police are still investigating how the teen fell but believe it was an accident, Nielsen said.
