In Utah, the living wage — the wage you must earn to maintain an adequate standard of living — is $11.22/hour for an adult with no children, which translates to roughly $1,500/month net. Now you won’t be able to live luxuriously with that kind of dough, but everyone has to start somewhere. The 12 jobs included below are full-time, pay at least 12 bucks an hour and don’t require much formal experience — perfect for those currently working on a degree/technical skill. Account Executive, KSL Classifieds
Wage: $13/hour + commission
Location: Salt Lake City

The position is responsible for increasing revenue through the development of new and existing relationships (with emphasis on new business development) and meeting a specific sales quota.
Customer Service Representative
Wage: $14.05/hour
Location: South Jordan
Description: As a Customer Service Representative, you will manage the calls we get from our customers and maintain relationships with our users to ensure they receive a quality customer service experience from the time they sign up with Homie until they sell their home. You will gain unrivaled knowledge and training in the real estate industry by working for a disruptive technology company that is one of the largest brokers in the state.
Customer Solutions Tech Support
Wage: $13/hour
Location: Lindon
Description: In a very comfortable and fast-paced call center environment, Vivint’s Customer Solutions Reps answer inbound calls from customers across the country and help them understand/troubleshoot their home security and home automation systems over the phone. Part-time and full-time positions are available. Training and shifts are all evenings.
Collections
Wage: $13/hour base + uncapped commissions
Location: Lindon
Description: Work with current customers who are 30-90 days behind on their payments. Billing professionals proactively make outbound calls to customers and collect payment on their Vivint systems to prevent disconnection from the services we provide. Majority of calls are to customers who were on auto-pay but switched credit card/bank info and forgot to update their information with us.
Paratransit Operator
Wage: $16/hour training for five weeks, $16.87 after training
Location: Salt Lake City
Description: Responsible for safe operation of a passenger bus on a specialized route in accordance with UTA operating procedures, assuming responsibility for the safety of customers and equipment. Performs standard pre-trip/post-trip vehicle inspections. Communicates appropriate information to dispatch, customers, supervisors, and others designated to receive such information. Answers questions from customers and others. Collects appropriate fare from passengers. Follows UTA guidelines, operating rules and procedures.
Train Host
Wage: $13.50/hour
Location: Salt Lake City
Description: Oversees the safety of customers boarding/riding the commuter rail train. Assist passengers with bridge plate deployment per ADA requirements. Oversees the wellbeing of customers on the train. Walk the entire train between stations. Communicates appropriate information to transit police, customers, supervisors, and others designated to receive such information. Answers questions from customers and others.
Experience Specialist
Wage: $15/hour
Location: Salt Lake City
Description: The experience specialist is responsible for greeting all customers who are interested in purchasing a car, getting their car serviced or purchasing a part. The experience specialist will initiate the first point of contact and ensure that the customer is greeted with a smile and kindly led and introduced to the appropriate department. Other tasks include assisting sales reps by fact-finding, giving product presentations and demo drives. This position will rotate between the different departments in service, business development center and sales.
Cafe Manager
Wage: $13.10–$15.59 DOE

Description: The purpose of this position is to sell product by providing remarkable customer service. This person will maintain quality standards and product levels of all products at the coffee/gelato bar. This person will be preparing coffee and espresso drinks, serving and sampling gelato, serving baked goods, training other coffee/gelato associates, determining production and inventory levels, receiving and stocking product and providing exceptional customer service.

Description: No experience required as job training will be provided. Future career advancement possible for the right candidate. You will be using computers and other equipment to set up and produce a variety of jobs which will also require coordinating with co-workers and outside vendors. Printing experience a plus, but not required. Must be able to lift 50 pounds and have a positive can-do attitude!
