MURRAY — A man is in critical condition after being shocked during an industrial accident by a power line Wednesday morning, according to Murray City police officer Kenny Bass.
Crews responded to an emergency call at the Lost Creek Apartments near 4950 S. State St. a little after 10 a.m. A couple of construction workers were installing some gutters on the apartments when one turned away from his co-worker to gather some equipment and turned around to see a flash he assumed was electricity, Bass said. The man's co-worker was lying on the ground unconscious and not breathing.
Officers and paramedics arrived and performed CPR on the man before transporting him to a hospital.
The man is currently in critical condition but had a pulse and was breathing when he left for the hospital, Bass said.
The cause of the accident is still unknown. This article will be updated with more information as it becomes available.
