SALT LAKE CITY — With technology becoming increasingly portable, KSL.com is pleased to announce the development of its new Wearable KSL device.

Similar to Google Glass, Wearable KSL is a portable computer that can be worn as a monocle. The device will allow users to integrate content from KSL.com into their everyday activities.

"We've been closely following the development of wearable technology because of the potential it has to really enhance our reader's lives on a daily basis," said KSL.com General Manager Brett Atkinson. "We hope Wearable KSL revolutionizes the way people consume news content."

The product is still being developed, but we are so excited about its potential that we wanted to give you, our loyal readers, a sneak preview of what it will do. Below are some of the features Wearable KSL will have to offer. Let us know what feature you would like to see in the comment section.

The Used Product Pricer

If you look at a used good while sporting Wearable KSL, the device will compare the good in realtime to the KSL Classifieds database and return a fair price for the item. No longer will you have to wonder if you're really getting the best price for that china set at a yard sale.

The Blind Date Discoverer

Sometimes you might not know much about the person you've been set up on a date with, but Wearable KSL has your back so you don't have to ask too many pesky questions. If you look at the person you're on a date with, the monocle will search their face and name against our vast news database and return any stories about them. This function could also be helpful for choosing future business partners or babysitters.

The News Sensor

As you enjoy your day, Wearable KSL will provide news alerts whenever a big story breaks or you approach the site of a current news event. The monocle also includes an iWitness camera, so you can easily snap photos on the go and send them directly to KSL.com.

The Greg Wrubell Stat-o-Matic

With this feature, the Wearable KSL device will be able to provide realtime statistics while watching BYU sports. It can detect the numbers on player's jerseys, so if your eyes linger on a player, Wearable KSL will instantly bring up their stats and biography.

The Doug Wright Lens

Users can see the world through Doug Wright's eyes by simply hitting a switch on their monocle. When this function is activated, users will be able to connect to a live feed that shows what Wright is currently looking at and provides commentary.

The Studio 5 Recipe Informer

If you look at any food item through the monocle, it will tell you all of the ingredients that are in the food and give it a health rating. Similarly, if you look at several ingredients on a counter it will pull up a list of all of the possible recipes that can be made from the combination.

Wearable KSL is expected to be available for purchase through KSL Deals on April 1, 2015.
