WELLSVILLE — A Hyrum woman was killed Tuesday after a head-on collision.

Just before 9 a.m., Christina Petersen, 60, driving a Buick Century, was making a lefthand turn on 6800 South to state Route 89 in Wellsville, turning in front of a northbound Dodge truck, according to Utah Highway Patrol. The car struck the truck “partially head-on,” UHP said.

Petersen was transported to an area hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Dodge was transported to Logan Regional Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. The identity of the driver had not been released.
