SPRINGVILLE — A semitruck rolled over on northbound I-15 near the 1400 North exit in Springville around 3:15 Wednesday afternoon, causing heavy delays and injuries.

Utah Highway Patrol Officer Todd Royce said the semitruck was carrying a full load although he didn't disclose what the semitrailer was carrying.

A female was in serious condition following the accident and was transported to Utah Valley Medical Center.

Traffic was backed up in all northbound lanes to 4800 South in Springville. Crews are working to clear the accident, but Royce said the delays could last into the night.

UHP officials said the accident happened at mile post 261 and is currently blocking the two left lanes of northbound traffic, with the three left lanes open.

More information will be posted as it becomes available.
