SANDY — Police are searching for a man who was dressed as a woman Wednesday when he robbed a Zions Bank just before closing.
Police said a white man wearing a white blouse, white hat and white sunglasses entered Zions Bank at 8955 S. 700 East at 4:53 p.m. and told the teller to put all of the money into his light blue purse.
Police said the man did not show a weapon or make any threats and left with an undisclosed amount of money. Bank employees saw him leave in a forest green Toyota Solara with gold emblems.
Police said the vehicle's windows are tinted, and the back windows are darker than the rest. There is a paper temporary license covering the license plate.
Anyone with information is asked to call Sandy police at 801-568-7200.
