KAYSVILLE — A Davis High cheerleader made an incredible half-court shot during a half-time contest to win $500 Friday night.

Quincie Emery, 17, became only the second person to win the $500 cash prize by sinking the half-court shot. The contest sponsored by Young Kia of Kaysville has been an ongoing event during each home basketball game of the season.

Emery was swarmed by the Davis High Student Body after sinking the shot and they congratulated her with a Lebron James style group hug.

Emery said that she would use the $500 to buy a new camera or for a shopping spree.

The Davis Darts went on to beat Freemont in the basketball game, 81-51.
