SALT LAKE CITY — A woman horribly injured in a house explosion has been fighting to recover in order to attend the George Strait concert this Friday. Now, not only will she be able to see Strait perform, she'll be getting a lot more than she bargained for.

Laura Lee Sheehan, a tremendous George Strait fan, had tickets for the concert at EnergySolutions Arena on Jan. 25. But an explosion in her home five months ago left her both badly burned and confined to a wheelchair. She is still undergoing treatment for the injuries she sustained in the disaster.

Being bound to a wheelchair made it impossible to attend. She purchased tickets, but the wheelchair accessible section was already sold out, leaving her without a way to watch the show.

She put out a call for someone to trade tickets with her so she would be able to see her country music idol first hand. KSL covered the story Tuesday, and within minutes there were dozens of offers to trade with Sheehan.

But she'll be getting even more than she asked for this Friday. EnergySolutions Arena has offered to accommodate her in a wheelchair accessible section, just like she needed.

Not only that, George Strait himself also learned of her situation and wants to meet Sheehan. That will mean the world to Sheehan, since it would be very hard to find a more die-hard fan of Strait. Not only does she have every album and know every song, she has a life-size cutout of the famous singer in her hospital room at the University of Utah burn unit.
