This is a review of KJC Drywall by an unhappy customer. Save yourself some headache and don't hire this company!
I hired Kevin for my basement drywall job that had a tight schedule. He did an ok job hanging the sheetrock quickly but did a terrible job with the texture and finishing. He left trowel lines everywhere on the walls and left big globs of drywall mud in the inside corners and all over the stair walls. When I brought the problems to his attention he told me I wouldnt even notice after it was painted and that the paint would give the texture a nice 'pop.' Just the opposite happened. The paint magnified every little trowel mark and made the hundreds of imperfections stand out like a sore thumb. He did offer to come retexture the basement but wouldn't cover the cost to repaint, he told me the painter should have caught his mistakes and given him time to fix it. Wrong, you should have done it right the first time. I can understand a few touch up items, but the whole basement was terrible, Kevin himself even admitted it. In short, I guess this is a warning to check references and see past work of anyone coming to work on your house. Anyone can say they have experience, get proof.
And don't hire KJC Drywall!
