A 37-year-old Oklahoma man has been jailed on rape complaints after authorities said he sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl in a bathroom at a McDonald's play area, which the child was visiting during a day care field trip.

Chicago police officer Jason Van Dyke fatally shot Laquan McDonald in 2014. He was convicted in October of second-degree murder and 16 counts of aggravated battery — one for each bullet the white officer fired at the black 17-year-old. Judge Vincent Gaughan sentenced Van Dyke in January to six years and nine months in prison.
