SANTA ANA, Calif. (AP) — A man has been arrested on suspicion of killing his parents and their housekeeper in an upscale Southern California community, authorities said Friday.

Richard Nicholson, 64, Kim Nicholson, 61, and Maria Morse, 57, were identified as the victims found dead in a Newport Beach home on Wednesday, said Carrie Braun, a spokeswoman for the Orange County sheriff's department.

The Nicholsons, who lived in the home, were the parents of 27-year-old suspect Camden Nicholson. Morse, of Anaheim, was their housekeeper, said Heather Rangel, a Newport Beach police spokeswoman.

The three were found dead when police checked on them at the home in response to a request by police officers in the nearby city of Irvine, who were in contact with Camden Nicholson at an area hospital, authorities said.

Nicholson was arrested for investigation of the killings. No charges had been filed against him early Friday. It was not immediately clear if he had an attorney.
