AGOURA HILLS, Calif. (AP) — The Latest on a plane crash on a Los Angeles freeway (all times local):
2:55 p.m.
An official says the single-engine plane that crashed on a Southern California freeway is a North American AT-6 that belonged to a squadron of vintage aircraft.
Condor Squadron President Chris Rushing says the pilot was unhurt and managed to land the plane on U.S. 101 on Tuesday without hitting any cars.
The crash snarled traffic about 30 miles (50 kilometers) west of downtown Los Angeles.
Rushing says the pilot, the only occupant, flies professionally for Alaska Airlines. He says the pilot "did a great" job bringing the plane down safely.
The cause of the crash isn't immediately known.
Rushing says the plane is painted with World War II-era German air force markings.
The AT-6 was developed in the 1930s and used as a training aircraft by U.S. and Allied pilots during World War II.
The Condor Squadron performs mock dogfights for air shows and flies in formation over parades, memorial services and events commemorating veterans.

A single-engine airplane has crash-landed and burned on a Southern California freeway.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department says the plane struck the center divider of U.S. 101 in Agoura Hills and the pilot was removed from the craft without injury early Tuesday afternoon.
No vehicles were involved in the crash about 30 miles (48 kilometers) west of downtown Los Angeles.
The aircraft appeared to be a vintage propeller plane with World War II-era German air force markings.
The crash snarled traffic on U.S. 101, a major California highway.
