SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Seasonal cabins and campsites are being evacuated because of a growing wildfire in northeast Utah.
The Utah Division of Forestry, Fire and State Lands said Thursday evening the small fire has destroyed no structures and caused no reported injuries.
Spokesman Jason Curry said seven cabins and three campsites were evacuated since the fire began on the north slope of the Uinta Mountains near the Wyoming border.
The fire is less than 1 square mile (2.6 square kilometers).
Officials believe the fire was caused by humans.
State officials said Friday another central Utah fire has grown to 25 square miles (64 square kilometers) and is 59 percent contained.
Officials have issued a warning for dangerous weather that could feed the fire. The fire began as a controlled burn that escaped containment.
