FAIRVIEW — One woman died and another person was critically injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Monday evening, Utah Highway Patrol troopers said.

A Chevy Suburban was southbound when it hit a deer, ran off the road and rolled.

Both occupants were ejected from the vehicle and later flown to a hospital via medical helicopter, troopers said. Neither of the injured people was wearing a seat belt.

Fairview resident Evelyn D. Morris, 38, later died from her injuries, UHP Sgt. Nick Street said Wednesday.

The crash occurred on U.S. Highway 89, south of Fairview near the Fairview City Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Traffic was moving in the area through alternating south and northbound lanes, troopers said.
