SALT LAKE CITY — Two more people have been charged in connection with a violent attack in Blanding last week.
Deon Tanner Rock, 27, and Nathaniel Curllis Clah, 31, both of Blanding, were each charged in San Juan County’s 7th District Court with attempted aggravated murder, three counts of aggravated assault resulting in serious injury, two counts of aggravated robbery resulting in serious injury, and four counts of aggravated kidnapping, all first-degree felonies. They were also charged with possession of a weapon by a restricted person, a third-degree felony.
They join Tiger Jacob Mose, 24, of Blanding, who was charged with the same crimes. All three men are accused of beating three people last week and threatening to kill a fourth.
On Thursday, police were dispatched to 744 S. 100 East in Blanding on a report of an assault on a man.
“Some of the injuries included what appeared to be shallow cuts across his neck and throat area, a broken nose, and cuts on his face, a fracture on his eye socket,” according to a police affidavit.
While responding to that incident, San Juan County sheriff’s deputies received a report of another person at a different location who had also been assaulted.
“This male had a swollen right eye that he could not see out of and a broken nose. There was a distinct design that looked like a shoe print on the right side of his face. The second victim also had bruises on his abdomen from being kicked resulting in a broken rib,” an affidavit states.

While police were at a local hospital continuing their investigation, they received a report of a third victim.
“When I arrived on scene I found a male lying on his side covered in blood. The male was unconscious but breathing,” according to the affidavit. The third victim’s injuries “included a broken nose, broken eye socket, and bleeding in the brain.”
A fourth person, a woman, said she was held at knifepoint, according to the affidavit. All four victims told police they were initially held in a trailer home against their will.
“Tiger and one other suspect escorted victim one to his home with the threat of death to victim one and his family if he did not give the suspects the money requested,” the affidavit states.
Rock was convicted of drug possession in 2018 and sentenced to one year in jail, according to court records. In 2011, Clah was convicted of drug distribution, court records state.
