1. No. 11 Utah to play unranked Texas in first-ever Alamo Bowl

After a successful 11-2 regular-season record, Utah has been invited to play one last game in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 31.

2. BYU will face Hawaii on Rainbow Warriors' home turf in SoFi Hawaii Bowl

The SoFi Hawaii Bowl announced Sunday the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors as BYU’s upcoming bowl opponent in the game owned by ESPN Events that will be played Dec. 24 at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii (6 p.m. MST, ESPN).

3. Utah State to play Kent State in Frisco Bowl

Utah State will be headed to the Frisco Bowl to face Kent State on Dec. 20.

4. No. 17 Utes right at home in sweep of No. 13 BYU for Sweet 16 berth

Dani Drews poured in 17 kills and six digs, and Kenzie Koerber stuffed the stat sheet with 11 kills, eight digs, five blocks, two assists and two aces to lead No. 17 Utah to a stunning 25-15, 25-15, 25-15 upset of No. 13 BYU to advance to the Utes’ fourth Sweet 16 in program history.

5. Weber State defense comes up big in 26-20 win over Kennesaw State

Big second half adjustments and a few key defensive plays helped edge the Wildcats past Kennesaw State in a come-from-behind 26-20 victory in the second round of the FCS playoffs.
