OGDEN — A man charged in June for allegedly trying to meet a juvenile for sex has been arrested again for the same crime, according to police.

In both cases, the man was communicating with an undercover officer posing as a juvenile.

Aaron Leigh Locke, 48, of Ogden, was arrested Friday for investigation of enticing a minor, dealing in materials harmful to a minor, two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor, failing to stop at the command of police, and interfering with an arrest.

According to a Weber County Jail booking affidavit, Locke “engaged in a text message conversation with a female he believed to be 13 years of age. During the conversation (he) indicated that he wanted to engage in sexual activity with the 13-year-old.”

A meeting was arranged. But when Locke arrived at the designated location, police were waiting to arrest him, the affidavit states. Locke ran and was tackled by officers and then continued to struggle with them as they attempted to handcuff him, according to the affidavit.

At the time of his arrest, Locke also had an outstanding warrant for a similar crimes. In June, he was charged in 2nd District Court with enticing a minor, a second-degree felony; two counts of dealing in materials harmful to a minor, a third-degree felony; obstructing justice, a third-degree felony; and tampering with a witness, a third-degree felony.

In that case, Locke engaged in an online conversation with a person he thought was a 13-year-old girl and arranged a meeting to have sex with her, according to charging documents. When the undercover officer posing as the girl kept reminding Locke of her age, Locke told her to delete those messages, the charges state.

“‘Quit saying anything like that’ and ‘Just pretend you’re an adult. Delete everything to do with age OK?’” he told the undercover officer, according to the charges.
