SALT LAKE CITY — Salt Lake police have found a 68-year-old missing woman who was last seen Wednesday afternoon.

Sheila Hansen was last seen at 2 p.m. walking her beagle near 2800 South and 1300 East, police said. She was found Wednesdsay evening about 10:40 p.m., police said.

A Silver Alert was later activated for the woman by state officials. According to state law, Silver Alerts are issued for missing endangered adults, which is defined as someone 60 years or older with dementia.

Details about how she was found weren’t immediately available.
