SALT LAKE CITY — After following leads, police served a search warrant at a home in Fairpark Wednesday evening in connection with the investigation into missing University of Utah student Mackenzie Lueck.

The home is located at 547 N. 1000 West. Police didn’t provide more details regarding the search warrant, but will be executing the warrant throughout the night and will provide more updates in the future, Salt Lake Police Assistant Chief Tim Doubt said.

Doubt said he couldn’t say if arrests had been made, though he did confirm that the people living in the home are related to the investigation as part of the search warrant.

“We are treating this with a high degree of care and caution,” Doubt said. “Given the nature of this case, we just don’t want to make any mistakes.”

Because both the investigation and the search warrant are ongoing, Doubt said he couldn’t disclose more information.

A tip line related to the case is still "up and running," Doubt said. Those with any relevant information are asked to call 801-799-4420.

The house is listed for short-term rental on Airbnb, a website that lists residences or rooms for short-term stays.

KSL TV reporter Ashley Moser reported Wednesday night there had been activity on Lueck's Instagram account earlier in the day.

Salt Lake police announced via Twitter earlier Wednesday evening they would provide an update on the case after a large police presence was reported near the area.

Police held a press conference Wednesday morning. Watch below.
