MILLCREEK — A 25-year-old man is in “extremely critical condition” after a motorcycle crash Friday afternoon, police said.
Emergency crews responded to a report of the crash near 4000 South and 700 East shortly after 1:10 p.m., according to Unified Police Sgt. Melody Gray.
The man was riding a motorcycle north on 700 East when a passenger car suddenly stopped in front of him to turn into a business.
"The motorcyclist locked up his brakes, put the motorcycle down and hit the back of that car," Gray said.
The motorcyclist was not wearing a helmet and was critically injured in the collision, according to Gray. He was transported to Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
No other injuries were reported.
The crash remains under investigation.
Editor's note: Gray initially said the man was 30, but later said he is 25. This story has been updated to reflect that correction.
