SALT LAKE CITY — A man was killed in a crash on U.S. Highway 40 Sunday morning, Utah Highway Patrol officials said.

Justin Wardle, 42, of Salt Lake City, was driving east on Highway 40 near Currant Creek just after 7 a.m. when he drifted across the westbound lanes and rolled. The pickup struck a large rock, killing Wardle, UHP officials said. Another driver saw the wreck nearly an hour later and called 911 to report the crash.

Wardle was the only occupant in the pickup and was wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash, UHP officials said. Troopers believe that fatigue was a contributing factor to the crash.
