Next 100, by the NFL
In celebration of the NFL’s 100th season, the league has been counting down the 100 best players all year — a touching pregame ceremony by itself. But then the National Football League turned to the future with an immediate pre-kickoff pseudo-advertisement featuring a bevy of children — all in different team jerseys — sprinting out of the tunnel to hand the game ball to the officiating crew.

Laundry Later, by Tide Pods
The ultimate ad mashup, this one didn’t catch our attention until #LaundryLaterGuy popped up in the next commercial — an in-house Fox ad for its reality competition series The Masked Singer. It wasn’t the last we heard of #LaundryLater guy, either, which is the real genius of the ad spot.

Tom Brady's big announcement, by Hulu
Tom Brady teased on social media a big announcement during the Super Bowl, with still images of him, in black and white, walking out onto the field at Gillette Stadium. Never a caption. No comment. Just a teaser.
He revealed the big announcement in the first quarter. And that announcement was:
Hulu has live sports.
Then he finished the ad spot with a salve for all Patriots fans: “I’m not going anywhere.”
Smaht Park, by Hyundai
What do you get when you cross a Chris Evans (aka Captain America), John Krasinski (aka Jim from The Office), Rachel Dratch (aka Funny Girl) and David Ortiz (aka Big Papi) on a street in Boston? Hyundai’s hilarious commercial for the 2020 Sonata.
Avocado Shopping Network, by Avocados from Mexico
After last year’s runaway hit in the Super Bowl ad bowl, Avocados from Mexico followed up by creating an entire home shopping network around its titular vegetable.
The results were predictable, but worthy of a nice chuckle.
Baby Nut by Planters
If you thought Planters was pulling its controversial ad showing the death of Mr. Peanut in the wake of the tragic death of Kobe Bryant and eight others, think again. They just paused a few social media posts.
The food processing company revealed its Super Bowl ad at Mr. Peanut’s funeral, featuring the Kool Aid Man and Mr. Clean. But the iconic “nut job” can’t stay gone for long, so he’s back … sort of.
Lucky dog by WeatherTech
Scout is a lucky dog — he found a stick on the beach, he’s in his second Super Bowl commercial, but most importantly he beat heart cancer with a 1% chance of survival. And now WeatherTech is giving the opportunity to donate to the veterinary school that saved his life.
Good boy, donating to charity, furthering education, it’s a home run.

This heartwarming heartbreak of a commercial will hit you right where it hurts. A man gets a little help from Google to remember the small details about the love of his life so he won’t ever forget her. Could you pass the tissues, please?
Reese's Take 5
If you’re not watching the Super Bowl (even just for the commercials) you either live under a rock or have your head in the sand. Reese's Take 5 with chocolate, peanuts, caramel, peanut butter and pretzels will appease even someone who was raised by a pack of wolves, apparently.
Famous visitors by Walmart
Walmart went international, and even intergalactic, with a handful of special-guest appearances in its Super Bowl entry.
The spot featured “famous visitors” including teenage Groot, Batman, Buzz Lightyear, Bill S. Preston, Esq., (in addition to Alex Winters), Marvin the Martian, the Martians from “Mars Attacks,” and your favorite aliens from the Men in Black universe, among many, any others.
Typical American by Budweiser
Budweiser flipped the "typical American" stereotype on its head with a pre-released ad that garnered millions of views before it aired Sunday evening. There were no Clydesdales, no dogs — but the message is, perhaps, the one we need in today’s world of politically charged rhetoric.
