On “The Late Show” Monday night, Colbert went into a bit about a recent lawsuit filed against actress Gwyneth Paltrow over a collision at the resort. While pointing out it’s too early to say if the claims against her are true or just a grab for money, he used the opportunity to plug the resort and his knowledge of it during the segment.

“A lot of the ski runs there are really tricky,” he said, pulling out a map of the ski resort runs. Of course, he seemed more helpful in knowing when and where to get lunch — he’s a fan of the turkey chili — than about the skiing.

However, he did have an important warning.

“Look out for Jordanelle down here,” he said, pointing it out on the southeast end of the map. “It’s really great. It’s the only big gondola on the mountain, but it gets very icy late in the day.”

You can check out the hilarious and educational segment here.

And make sure to heed Colbert’s important takeaway:

“Watch out for Jordanelle, OK? It may seem like a simple blue, but it gets very icy late in the day!"
