THE MUSIC ROOM — I know you probably think you've heard every cover of Journey's "Don't Stop Believin'" that you'll ever need to hear, but you are wrong and I can prove it with this video.
The video is a cover of the classic hit being performed by people playing boomwhackers, which are a thing I just learned exist and which may become your newest obsession.
Boomwhackers, as I just found out, are colorful, hollow tubes of varying lengths that people hit against their legs or the floor or other surfaces to make music. A pretty simple concept, and one you can do a whole lot with if you're as talented as these guys.

Swimming with dolphins sounds nice. Swimming with sharks? Not so nice.The Harvard THUD ensemble has been putting together boomwhacker covers for a while. Several of their videos have over a million views on YouTube, and I'd recommend watching those too. But their "Don't Stop Believin'" remix may be their most ambitious. The song sounds complicated yet very cool as they play, and it even requires some boomwhacker tossing to make sure the right person has the right musical tube to get all the parts of the choruses just right.
After I watched the video once, I immediately pressed play and sat through the whole thing again, just because I was so impressed. Maybe we aren't all quite as talented as these percussionists, but if you are in need of a new hobby, I'd recommend taking up boomwhacking.
