Hoodz cleans grease from kitchen exhaust systems in restaurants, etc. The Hoodz Technician works the night shift in a team using hand tools and light industrial equipment to degrease, clean and polish the hoods over the cooking equipment, the exhaust shaft and the exhaust fan. Some travel may be required.
Relocation costs may be covered.
Hoodz cleans grease from kitchen exhaust systems in restaurants, etc. You are a potential employee if you meet the following: 1. you like working the night shifts; 2. you can work on ladders, stairs or stools; 3. you are able to climb ladders, stairs and stools; 4. you can work with your hands overhead for extended periods of time; 5. you can lift 50# or more; 6. you can show a job history of working with your hands and light industrial equipment; 7. you are safety minded; 8. you take pride in your work; 9. you can work in contorted positions for long periods of time; 10. you are authorized to drive vehicles in the State of UT; 11. you are not a felon and have no criminal background - yes it will be run; 12. you are able to communicate in English with co-workers and/or customers - the boss speaks Spanish; 13. you are able to pass a pre-employment physical and a DOT drug screen - the person you would replace did not show for a drug test; 14. you are honest; 15. you are respectful; and 16. you have your own transportation to and from work. We pay better than minimum wage, however you will not get rich. The job is fun. Occasional out-of-town travel is required. You will be treated fairly, but you will be expected to perform. The boss is decent most of the time, however I do not tolerate late arrivals or no shows when scheduled to work. Thieves and druggies please do not apply - I really don't like firing people.
