The loud music, the roar of the crowd, the lights, the smells — all of it together is the sound of sports. Some sports fans live for exciting nights like these, while others might get a little overwhelmed with it all.
As stimulating as it all is, advertisers want to draw the focus of the crowds to their logos, sponsorships and marketing efforts. According to the American Marketing Association, sports sponsorship spending tops out at more than $62 billion globally. All of this spending makes the games and experience possible, but how much of the sponsor's efforts do fans actually take in?
