OGDEN — Police identified a 20-year-old man who died after his car veered into an oncoming UTA bus in Ogden early Friday morning.

Carlos Osario, of Ogden, was traveling south on Washington Boulevard when he veered into oncoming traffic near 21st Street about 5:30 a.m., according to Ogden Police Lt. Brian Eynon. Osario's car hit the bus head-on, and he was killed.

There were about 15 to 20 passengers on the bus who received minor injuries at the time of the crash, Eynon said.

Police closed northbound lanes and one southbound lane on Washington Boulevard at 21st Street until shortly before 7 a.m. Friday.

Police are still unsure why Osario veered into oncoming traffic. An investigation is ongoing, Eynon said.
