OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Quinn Snarskis and two relievers combined on a two-hitter and Michael Massey's three-run homer broke open the game in Illinois' 7-1 victory over Indiana in the Big Ten Tournament on Wednesday night.

The Illini (32-18) play top-seeded Minnesota on Thursday night. The Hoosiers (37-16) face Michigan State in an elimination game.

The Illini broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning when they plated three runs on a pair of two-out errors. Massey's three-run homer made it 7-0 in the seventh.

Snarskis, who transferred to Illinois after Division II St. Joseph's College closed last year and became Illinois' No. 1 starter, pitched 4 1/3 perfect innings before Luke Miller singled. Ryan Thompson (8-3) allowed one run in 2 2/3 innings of relief.

Indiana starter Jonathan Stiever (5-5) pitched six innings and took the loss.
