MIDVALE — Lanes have reopened after a crash involving a paratransit vehicle caused major delays on I-15 northbound on Thursday.

The crash took place about 6:50 p.m. on I-15 at 8000 South, Utah Department of Transportation officials said on Twitter.

A Utah Transit Authority paratransit vehicle was involved in the crash, according to UTA spokesman Carl Arky. Only the driver was on the bus during the crash, he said.

At least two other vehicles were involved in the crash, according to Utah Highway Patrol Sgt. Todd Royce. One woman broke her wrist in the crash, he said.

At least three lanes on the right side were blocked earlier Thursday evening, and UDOT traffic cameras showed very little traffic passing through the area after the crash.

Several lanes were reopened by 8:45 p.m. UDOT estimated the scene would be fully cleared by 11:30 p.m., according to the agency's website.
